Rodney Earl Stout of Exeter, California died April 1, 2020 at the young age of 89 while at home surrounded by family.
Rodney was born June 1, 1930 in Crawfordsville, Indiana, the son of the late Wallace and Lida Stout, and brother to William Stout and the late Elda Johnson. On January 12th, 1952, he married Ruth Joan Cunningham, who survives. Rodney is also survived by his children April Stout of Exeter, CA, Arlinda and Robert Warman of Omaha, Nebraska, Amy and David Millis of Martinsville, Indiana, and David and Kitty Stout of Tallahassee, Florida. In addition to his four children, he is survived by 1 granddaughter, 5 grandsons, and 5 great grandchildren
Rodney had a wonderful, full life. He was a veteran of the United States Air Force. He retired from Indiana Bell after 30 years, but later returned to work for MCI Telecommunications, which allowed Rodney and Joan to travel the country for 12 years until they found and fell in love with beautiful Exeter, California. They moved to Rancho Exeter Mobile Home Park, a lovely retirement community where Rodney and Joan became managers, Rodney enjoyed playing cards with friends, fishing, dancing, and he absolutely loved mushroom hunting in the olive groves.
