Rodney Robinson, age 59, of Humboldt passed away Thursday, July 20, 2017 at his home. Rodney Conrade Robinson, son of Loren Kaye and Beverly Ann (Endorf) Robinson, was born on November 1, 1957 in Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri. He graduated from Paullina High School in 1977. Rod continued his education at Western Iowa Tech Community College. On September 3, 1977, Rod was united in marriage to Candace Dunn at the United Methodist Church in Sibley. Rod had a long time career in law enforcement. Rod and Candy dedicated several years to fostering over fifty children in need. In his spare time he enjoyed watching his grandbabies play outside and grilling and smoking meats while entertaining.
Left to cherish Rod’s memory are his wife of 39 years and 10 months, Candy of Humboldt; children, Marnetta and Reuben Fisher of Milford, Rodney II and Ashley Robinson of Humboldt and Jim and Steph Robinson of Humboldt; eight grandbabies, Brooklyn, Gabbie (Gabbers), Kennedy, Roddy, Payton, Meggann (Susan) Rielynn (RiRi) and Jaxon (Action Jaxon) and sister, Faith (Kay) Robinson Brands of Brighton, Illinois. He was preceded in death by his parents; sons, Jordan and Michael Robinson and brothers, Raymond, Jimmy and Jeff Robinson. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Rod’s honor to the discretion of the family.
