Rodney Lee Long, Sr., 71, of Stonewood, WV passed away on Friday, October 13, 2017 at his residence, after a long illness. He was born October 10, 1946 in Baltimore, MD; the son of the late Hazel and Jack Long.
Rodney is survived by his wife, Mary Long, who he spent 30 years with; son, Rodney Jr of Clarksburg; step-daughters, Pamela Bailey of Stonewood, Michelle Queen of Stonewood, Christa Burrows of Lost Creek, Cheryl Swiger of Parma, Ohio, Kathy and Rome Benkalowycz of Columbia Station, Ohio; eleven grandchildren, Camden Long of Fairmont, Stephanie and Brian Bailey of Stonewood, Zachary Queen of Stonewood, Gilly Burrows of Weston, Michael W. Odom, Jr. of Anmoore, Ronald Odom of Clarksburg, Mary Odom of Anmoore, Seth, Savannah, Sarah Swiger of Parma, Ohio, Lisa, Lynette, Pete of Columbia Station, Ohio, twenty-six great grandchildren, one great, great grandson; two nieces, Jenny, Miranda Matheny of Wierton, and many nephews and cousins and a special friend, Zack Johnson. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Patricia Matheny, step-daughter, Lela J Odom; cousins, Sonny and Randy Burrows.
