He was born on November 24, 1956 in Upper Sandusky, Ohio to Kenneth and Phyllis (Weininger) Barth. Kenneth is deceased and Phyllis survives in rural Sycamore, Ohio. Rodger married Kay (Frisch) Barth on July 1, 1977 and she survives.
Surviving are two daughters, Julie (Thad) Miller, rural Nevada, Ohio and Tyfanie (Corey) Hampshire, Fostoria, Ohio plus six grandchildren and two sisters, Sharon (Steve) Cavanaugh, Noblesville, Indiana, Barbara (Mat) Donalson, Weslaco, Texas and one brother, Jerry (Patricia) Barth, rural Sycamore, Ohio. He was preceded in death by a grandson and his father.
Rodger worked at the former Tower Automotive, Upper Sandusky, Ohio as a supervisor for twenty-nine years. He was a 1975 graduate of Mohawk High School and was a member of Trinity United Church of Christ in McCutchenville, Ohio. For hobbies he loved to fish and spend time with his family and friends.
