Roderick Joseph Socull , 81, of Allen Park, Mi. passed away on June 27, 2020 after a long battle with illness. Rod was a beloved husband, father, step father, grandfather, and step was born Feb 10 1939 in Ironwood, Mi. to Joseph & Susan (Gondek ) Socull. After Joseph’s untimely passing. Susan eventually remarried and he was lovingly raised along with his sister Delores “Dolly” by his mother and step dad Henry “Hank” Swoish. After graduating Allen Park High School in 1956,for a short time he went to school for engineering/drafting as he had a knack for drawing and figuring things 1956 he met and fell in love with Barbara Sadler, they wed on Sept 03, 1960, going on to have 2 children, Roderick & was passionate and extremely good at fixing things up and make them more beautiful. He took great pride in whatever he did, whether landscaping, working on home projects, or the occasional car restoration project. He even built an remarkably beautiful house in Georgia in which the family lived for a few years before moving back to Michigan.
