Robin L. Gilpin, 61, of New Carlisle, IN, passed away at 12:04 a.m. Friday, August 8, 2014 in Memorial Hospital, South Bend.
She was born to the late Robert “Rock” and Marjorie “Ruth” (Citizen) Eckert on July 28, 1953 in South Bend, IN, and was a lifelong New Carlisle resident. Along with her parents; one granddaughter, Scarlett Gilpin also preceded her in death.
Robin worked as a Supervisor for U.S. Airways for 18 years. She then worked at Memorial Health Care Systems for 8 years, before retiring on June 20, 2014.
Robin is survived by her two sons, Cole (wife Kim) Gilpin of Trail Creek, IN; Adam (wife Tami) Gilpin of New Carlisle, IN; five grandchildren, Karissa, Madelaine, Georgia, and Michael Gilpin, all of Trail Creek, IN; Arianna Foster of North Pole, AK; one brother, Rex (wife Gina) Eckert of North Liberty, IN; and her beloved St. Bernard, Ben.
Robin loved animals, especially dogs. She enjoyed reading, walking, and spending time with her grandchildren. Robin was a sweet, kind, gentle soul who left her impression on everyone she met. She was deeply loved, and will be missed by all.
