Roberta G. Hartman, 91, of Elkhart, passed gently to her rest Saturday afternoon, Jan. 4, 2014, in her home. She was born Dec. 19, 1922, in Elkhart to Robert and Beulah (Bolinghouse) Ray.

Husbands Richard L. Windsor, Alexander Ignafol and Harold E. Hartman Sr. — whom she was married to for 40 years — a son, Harold E. Hartman Jr., grandsons Todd Windsor and Chris Eby; and her sisters, Delores Fessler and Donna Russ, preceded Roberta in death.

Roberta is survived by her sons, Don Lee (Lee Morgan) Windsor of Elkhart and Larry C. (Patricia) Windsor of Mishawaka; stepdaughter Diane (Edward) Detweiler of White Pigeon, Mich; 10 grandchildren; 34 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; caregiver Brenda Vargas; and a brother, Robert Ray Jr. of Mesa, Ariz.

Roberta worked for many years at C.G. Conn assembling musical instrument cases. She then worked at Ziesel’s Department Store in downtown Elkhart. Roberta attended New Life Christian Center in Bristol. She enjoyed making crafts, crocheting and loved to travel, especially in a car. Roberta also enjoyed sports and followed Arizona teams when she lived there.
