A good and loving lady has earned her highest reward. Roberta Bobby Jane Rohde, 89, of Alpena, AR entered eternal life August 7, 2011 with her family by her side. She was born November 8, 1921 in Eureka Springs, to the late Robert Henry McLain and Florence Estelle (Dewey) McLain. Bobby graduated from Green Forest High School and in February 1941 she was united in marriage to Myron Kenneth Rohde. A few years later they purchased a farm in the Carrollton Community, where she stayed at her husbands side helping with the farm work. Besides hard work, Bobby enjoyed gardening, fishing, camping, frog gigging and quilting. She loved the simple things in life such as spending time with her family and friends and helping neighbors. Her faith and family always came first and both brought her much happiness. She was a member of Osage Baptist Church where she had taught Sunday School and served in any area where she was needed. Bobby will be greatly missed by her survivors: daughters, Linda Terherst and husband JT of Alpena, Sharon Van Campen and husband Larry of Kingston, son, Ira Grant Rohde of Alpena, daughter-in-law, Linda Rohde of Excelsior Springs, MO, 23 grandchildren, 31 great-grandchildren and 13 great-great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, Myron, son, Charles (Bill) Rohde, 2 infant sons Sidney and Myron Rohde, one brother and two sisters.
