Robert W. (Bob) Lewis

Bob Lewis, 80, of Kingwood died Wednesday, May 18, 2016 at his daughter’s home in Tunnelton with family by his side after a battle with cancer.

He was born on April 29, 1936, in Turner Douglas, a son of the late Pauline Lewis Winfred.

Bob and his wife Kate were the owners and operators of the K & R Bar and he also worked in the coal mines and at the manganese plant.

Bob is survived by his three children, Dottie Thorn of Tunnelton, Butch Readd and his wife, Rosemary of Bruceton Mills and Bonnie Rowan and husband, Ernie of Howesville; a brother, Eugene “Fred” Lewis, 14 grandchildren, 29 great-grandchildren and 13 great-great-grandchildren and a special Aunt Ruby Morris and her children.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Rosalee “Kate” Wilhelm Lewis, whom he married in 1962 in Oakland, MD; two sisters, Sarah “Cookie” James and Shirley Jean Harvey; a son-in-law, Ralph Thorn; a grandson, Keven Sines and a great-great-grandchild, Ryder Stratton.
