Robert W. Hoyt Sr. age 82 of Midland, passed away Tuesday, November 1, 2016 at Medilodge of Midland.
The son of the late Chester A. Hoyt and Mabel B. Wolfgang was born on January 22, 1934 in Wheeler, MI. On March 6, 1953 Bob married the former Patricia Callow at Trinity Lutheran Church in Midland. After 62 years of marriage she predeceased him on May 3, 2015. Bob worked as a Lab Technician for Dow Corning for over 35 years, retiring in 1986. He enjoyed playing and listening to old classic country music, singing and spending time with his family. In past years he loved riding his Harley, riding horses, fishing, and hunting.
Bob is survived by his children, Robert Hoyt, Jr. of Midland, Kathryn (Bud) Keidel of Midland, Misti (Chris) Fedewa of Clare, Tammy Thompson of Mt. Pleasant; grandchildren, Ryan Hoyt, Nicholas Hafelein, Michelle House, Dustin Smith, Mylinda Smith, Samantha Chambers, CJ Fedewa, Sarah Koch, Benjamin Fedewa, Natalie Fedewa, Corbin Thompson, Logan Thompson, Amy Smith, Buddy Keidel; several great grandchildren; sisters, Reatha Lator and Gladys Gallihugh.
In addition to his parents and wife, Robert was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Katie Chambers; brothers, Wilbur Dean Hoyt, Jim Finch, Philo Finch; sisters, Doris Dunn and Vera Suppes-Brickner.
