July 28, 1935 in Muncie to Floyd and Pearl (Aucker) Jones. Robert worked for both
Essex and Budd Company in Carey as a supervisor.
Robert is survived by his wife of thirteen years Betty J (Tackett) Jones, one son
Merle Ogle (wife-Rhonda), Muncie, two daughters Cindy Smith (husband-Russell); Muncie, Sandra Beckley (husband-Gus); Carey, Ohio, three brothers Gene Jones (wife-Jean Marie); Muncie, Rodney Jones (wife-Phyllis); Parker City, Bruce Jones; Gaston,
two sisters Pat Noble (husband-Larry); Muncie, Judy Myers; Albany, eight grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren and several nieces; nephews and cousins.
Robert was preceded in death by his wife of forty-one years Shirley J. (Ogle)
Jones, parents Floyd and Pearl Jones and grandson Merle Ogle, Jr.
