On Friday, June 4, 2021, Robert Todd Spicer passed away at the age of 74.  Todd was born on January 24, 1947 in Manchester, CT to Herbert F. and Marguerite K. (Beaupre) Spicer.  He was a graduate of Cheney Technical School where he specialized in carpentry and was a key player on their various sports teams.  He was attending further education when he decided to enlist in the Army.  He spent a year in Vietnam where he was wounded.  He received an honorable discharge in 1969.

On July 10, 1971, he married Karen Richards.  Together they raised two children.  Todd loved supporting his children in their various activities whether it was coaching a team, following his daughter’s band competitions or his son’s travel soccer.  The family enjoyed camping and traveled extensively.

Todd’s career was mainly in the lumber industry where he rose from a stock boy to a district manager at Grossman’s Lumber followed by wholesale lumber sales which took him from Manchester to Arnold, MD.  He returned to retail management when he moved to Mt. Laurel, NJ to run a new lumber yard.  He later returned to wholesale lumber sales after a short stint driving tour bus which he loved as a mid-life crisis.

Todd’s main focus in life was his family and helping others.  He was thrilled when he became a grandfather and doted on his grandchildren.

Todd is survived by his wife Karen of Mt. Laurel, NJ, their two children Jennifer Spicer of Lenexa, KS and Matt and Penny Spicer of Marlton, NJ, his two grandchildren Kacey and Hailey Spicer, family Ken and Deb Richards, Nancy and Steve White, Bill and Pam Richards and many nieces and nephews.  He was predeceased by his parents and his two sisters Susan Fortier (Armand) and Nancy Spicer (Stewart).
