Robert T. “Terry” Galle, 70, of Bethlehem, passed away peacefully on Sunday December 20, 2020 in his home surrounded by his loving family. He was the devoted husband of Jane (Bender) Galle with whom he shared over 52 years of loving marriage. Born in Bethlehem, he was the son of Jane (Lynch) Galle and the late H. Robert Galle. Terry was a graduate of Bethlehem Catholic High School, class of 1967 and went on to attend Kutztown University, the Catholic University and later Lehigh University where he earned his Master’s degree and was a member of Phi Beta Kappa. He honorably served his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. Terry was employed as an English teacher for the Bethlehem Area School District for 36 years until retiring. He also was a home school visitor for the district for 16 years. Terry was a member of Ss. Simon and Jude Catholic Church, Bethlehem where he served as a Lector.  He was an avid outdoorsman, Philadelphia Sports fan and Iron Pigs Baseball fan. He was very proud of the radio work he did for Iron Pigs baseball. Terry was also a proud PIAA Refree, coached numerous sports for the Bethlehem Area School District and was a member of PSEA and NEA. He directed numerous plays for Freedom High School and was an active member of the Touchstone theater community. He was also a ceremonial announcer for the United States Army Old Guard. 

Survivors: In addition to his loving wife Jane; sons Rob Galle of Cypress, TX, Jamey Galle of Bethlehem, Rick Galle of Philadelphia and Jesse Galle of Brooklyn, NY; siblings Mary Jane Spinner and husband Ron of Stroudsburg, Christina Martin and her husband Joseph of Bethlehem, Matthew Galle and wife Patricia of Orefield and Jennifer Israel and husband Randy of Hellertown; sister in law Carol Galle of Lehighton and his loving grandchildren Jacob, Taylor, Shannon, Willem and Axel as well as many loving nieces and nephews. Terry was preceded in death by his brother Timothy Galle and grandson Rowan Galle.
