Robert F. “Bob” Schaffer, Sr., 58, of Greentown, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, January 4, 2014, at Geisinger Community Medical Center, Scranton. He was the loving husband of Donna “Donndie” (Rose) Schaffer, with whom he shared over 34 years of marriage. Born in Montgomery, AL, Bob was a son of William Schaffer, Sr. of Bath and the late Viola (Illigasch) Schaffer. He graduated from Liberty High School in 1973, and was a truck owner/operator for Kirk Trucking in Delmont. He enjoyed the outdoors and taking motorcycle rides, but he mostly enjoyed being with his wife, family and grandsons. Survivors: wife Donndie; son Robert Schaffer, Jr. and his companion Britany McNamara of Greentown; stepson John Hartzell of Allentown; father William Schaffer, Sr.; brothers William “Willy” Schaffer, Jr. and his companion Tammy Benner of Bethlehem, John Schaffer and his wife Suzan of Bethlehem; sister Cindy Ferguson of Allentown; grandchildren Liam and Dilan Schaffer.
