Robert Russell Johnson, 80, of Rising Sun, IN passed away Monday, December 7th, at his residence.
Robert was born in Warsaw, KY on June 8, 1929, a son of the late Pearl (Hayes) and Elijah Johnson.
On May 14, 1966 he married Helen Jean Lotton who survives him. He worked as a mechanic & over the road truck driver at Seagrams’s Distillery in Lawrenceburg, IN. Bobby was a member of the Rising Sun American Legion Post # 59, 40 & 8, Rising Sun VFW and the Aurora Eagles.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by;
a son Tommy Johnson of Rising Sun, IN; step son Denny Meyer (Phyllis) of Rapid City, SD;
two step daughters, Mona Dilts (Dennis), of Indianapolis, IN and Bev Smith, of Quercus Grove, IN;
He is also survived by 7 grandchildren and by 3 great-grandchildren.
Bobby is also survived by three sisters, Betty Ripberger (Tom), of Cold Springs, KY; Francis Holbrook, of Monroe, OH; Mayme Daulton, of Hamilton, OH. two brothers, Ernie Johnson (Donna), of Rising Sun, IN; Elijah Johnson Jr. (Sue), of Carrolton, KY;
He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers, Everett Johnson & Raymond Lowe. by sisters, Tina Perkins & Dorothy Cleveland.
