Robert Ousley III was born to the late Robert Ousley, Jr and Dorothy Bertha Lou Ousley on March 31, 1953. He was an identical twin to Roger F. Ousley, Sr. who preceded him in death on Aug. 20, 2021.
Robert departed this earthly life on Tuesday, October 19, 2021, at 1:30 PM. He received Christ at an early age and later, by his own account, “heard a verbal call to the ministry” and vowed to dedicate the rest of his life to the teachings of Christ as an ordained minister and hospital care trauma chaplain.
Robert was a member of Mt.
Robert served his Country as a U.S. Marine and was a very proud veteran. He received his high school diploma from Jones High. He attended Oakwood College and received his Bachelor of Art Degree in Theology.
Chaplain Ousley leaves his wife, Diana Ousley; one daughter ~ Roneshia Blunt and her children; Brothers ~ Victor (Gloria) Cannon, Willie C. (Wonda) Tillman; Sister-in-law ~ Barbara Ousley; He had the joy of being a part of a blended family with a stepson and daughter. Robert would be given the opportunity to taken on the role of “Papa” to four grandchildren which would become one of his highlights. He also leaves behind nieces, nephews, cousins, and countless family and friends who will miss him dearly. May he rest in peace until Resurrection Morning.
