Monson-Robert N. (Bob) Brazas of Monson passed away peacefully on February 18, 2022 at the age of 77. The son of F. John Brazas and Rose T. Brazas née Guarino. He attended Brockton High School where he was a star fullback. He attended Northeastern University earning a degree in Chemical Engineering in 1967 and later pursued an MBA at Western New England College. He moved to Monson in 1970.
 
Bob was employed by Monsanto as a chemical engineer and, later, as a purchasing specialist. Concurrent with that employment, he started a company supplying to the custom rifle making trade that grew to become Brazas Sporting Arms, Inc of Monson, MA, to which he dedicated the bulk of his professional life, working alongside his wife Mary Ann Brazas née Baines.
 
Bob was an active member of the Springfield Sportsmen’s Club, where he predominantly shot skeet and of the Scantic Valley YMCA where he exercised to match a man half his age.
 
He is survived by his beloved wife of 55 years, Mary Ann, his son David M Brazas, MD and his partner James J. Germano RPh. of Boston. He was predeceased by his badly-missed son, Robert N. Brazas, Jr.
