Robert Mangiante died September 28, 2011 in Alameda, California at the age of 88. He leaves behind his loving daughters, Lisa Mangiante of Alameda and Barbara Ravetti of Redondo Beach, grandchildren James Ravetti of Redondo Beach and Christina Kilduff of Canton, Connecticut, his son-in-law Jay, great-grandchildren Kayla and Austin, sister Ann Saulnier of Hollywood, Florida, and his treasured friend, Carol Cordray of Oakland, California. He is also survived by his brother-in-laws Ralph and John and sisters-in-law Fran, Minnie, Lucy, and Agnes, and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his wife of 47 years, Elizabeth (nee Quaranta), his son, Robert A. Mangiante, brothers Charles and Frank and sisters Celia and Anna.
Bob was born in Providence, Rhode Island, to Eraclio and Aida Mangiante and graduated from Providence College . He spent his professional life in Connecticut, where he worked as a controller. Upon his retirement he and Betty moved to Florida where they lived for many years. In recent years he moved to Alameda.
