“Mr. G”, beloved husband, father, grandfather and patriot passed away November 28, 2015. He was born on July 19, 1924 in Ann Arbor, the son of the late Max and Maybelle (Spencer) Goldacker. Bob was a United States Army Ranger and veteran of the D-Day invasion in Normandy, France. He retired as the general manager of Jacobson’s after 36 years. Bob married Carolyn Mantas in 1974 and together they operated Goldacker Custom License Plates and Toys. He was a former president of the Downtown Kalamazoo Association, past president of DECCA Education, and also served on the Portage and Nazareth College school boards.

He will be missed by his wife of 41 years; his children: Rob (Donna) Goldacker of Portage; Matthew Goldacker of Portage; Fred (Paula) Mantas of Twin Lakes, WI; Teddy (June) Mantas of Ringwood, N.J.; Cathy (Tom) McCormick of Schoolcraft; and Jimmy Mantas of Kalamazoo; 7 grandchildren; and 6 great-grandchildren. Also surviving are his sister, Henrietta (Richard) Anderson of Wisconsin; and brother-in-law, Calvin (Rosemary) Conley of Marshall. Bob was preceded in death by his first wife, Audrey Goldacker; and his siblings, Max Goldacker, Jr., Elsa Witter, and Betty Koelher.
