It is with deep regret that we announce the passing of Mr. Robert Estrada who peacefully passed away in his sleep while on vacation with his family in Tampa Florida on January 1st, 2018..

Mr. Estrada is survived by his wife, Suleica Wilson Estrada, his stepson Edwin Pitti-Wilson, brothers, Lawrence Adrian Estrada, Steven R. Estrada, and Patrick Estrada, and his sister Maryann Estrada, several nieces and nephews, as well as numerous extended family members throughout the Southwest.

He is preceded in death by his father, the late Maj. Mateo J. Estrada, of Lordsburg, New Mexico, his mother, the late Rita Medina Estrada of Santa Rita, New Mexico and his older brother the late Richard M. Estrada.

Robert joined the Defense Intelligence Administration in 1981 after finishing his studies in Political Science at the University of Texas at El Paso in which he was a Senior Information Analyst. He also graduated from the US Army War College in Carlyle Pa. with a Master’s degree in Strategic Studies.

Mr. Estrada retired after a 25-year career with the federal government in 2006. Mr. Estrada has requested that in lieu of flowers, a donation be made to the Hospice of Santa Fe, New Mexico.
