Robert (Bob) Moran Luther, 74, died Thursday, June 18, 2015, from complications of acute myeloid leukemia. An enthusiastic part-timer since 2000, Bob established permanent residence in Scottsdale, AZ, in 2013.
A devoted husband, father, grandfather, mentor and friend, Bob is survived by the love of his life, his wife of 31 years, Patricia (Boatwright), two daughters: Sharon (Robert) Tylla, Vesper, WI, and Jaime (Todd) Allen, Racine, WI, son, Robert Luther, and three grandchildren: Ashley Luther, Garrett Schmidt, and Colin Allen. He was preceded in death by his parents, Jack H. and Kathryn Moran Luther, and brother, John Luther.
Born in Arlington, IA, October 19, 1940, Bob grew up in Clinton, IA. At 17, he enlisted in the U.S. Navy, became a Radioman First Class, served a tour of duty in Vietnam, and subsequently retired from the Naval Reserves.
Bob studied healthcare administration at the University of Minnesota School of Public Health and received a M.S. in Healthcare Administration from the University of Colorado, Graduate School of Business.
