Robert L. Love, 83, of Salem, died at 10:30 p.m. Monday, September 22, 2014 at the Essex of Salem III. He was born in Canton, February 7, 1931 the son of the late David and Mildred (Purdue) Love. He worked for the Spindler Bakery Supply in Canton and the owner of the former Love’s Pastry in Salem. He was a graduate of Canton Lincoln High School and attended Akron University. Robert was very athletic and enjoyed playing golf, bowling and spending time with his family. Survivors include his wife Jane (Clarke) Love whom he married November 17, 1950; a son Michael Love of Salem; daughters Wendy Girts and husband Brian of Poland OH, Cherly Shasteen and husband Dave of Orlando FL, Amy Love and Fiance Joe Cymbura of Orlando FL; grandchildren Katie Girts, Kelli Girts, Megan Shasteen, and Molly Shasteen.
