Robert Lee Crye (Bob), of McCalle, Alabama, age 76 passed away Friday, August 19, 2016. Bob was born in Cleveland, TN July 3, 1940. Bob became part of the Magic Chef sales team in 1967. He took the Michigan territory and then returned south in 1979. He became part of the Rock Mountain Lakes community and served as the president of the Rock Mountain Lakes Landowners Assoc. for several years. He was proud of the community and enjoyed his neighbors when they stop by just to visit in the yard. He enjoyed working in the yard, cooking, and reading. He enjoyed visiting with people and he never met a stranger. Most of all he was proud of his only grandchild (Robert). His last 7 months were spent at Galleria Woods Senior Living and loved all the residents and programs offered. Bob was preceded in death by his parents, Emma L. Crye and Thadious (Bill) Crye; sister, Reba Anne Crye; and brother, Donald M. Crye. Bob is survived by Emma K. Crye; daughter and son in law, Constance A. Crye Stearns and Richard W. Stearns of McCalla, AL; grandson, Robert W. Stearns of Helena, AL; brother; Gary Crye of Old Fort, TN; sisters and brothers in law, Wanda and Roland Jeffords of Fairmount, GA, Louise and Marvin Fowler of Fairmount, GA; and many nieces and nephews of Georgia and Tennessee.
