Robert Lee Seng, age 90, passed away peacefully at his home in Garden City, Idaho of natural causes on Thursday, November 27, 2014
Robert was born 15 June 1924 in Jansen, Nebraska. First of two children and only son born to Freda Harder and Frank Seng. He and little sister Dolores were raised in Jansen and Beatrice surrounded by a large extended family. He attended schools in Beatrice and then joined the army air corps. He married his high school sweetheart, Shirley Gillett, who was the love of his life. Bob made the military a career for 24 years. During WWII, he served in B24’s for the illustrious 8th air force out of England as a navigator/ bombardier. He served in B29’s in Korea.
Robert was preceded in death by both of his parents, and his brother in law, Jack Nease.
A special thank you to Makaela for all her dedication, and to the hospice workers that helped in the last weeks of Bob’s life so he could stay at home.
