Robert Lynn Guy, 82, most recently of Shelton, Nebraska passed away at his daughter’s home in Lewellen, NE with family present on Friday, September 2, 2022.

Robert was born in Saratoga, Wyoming on March 3, 1940, he grew up in Arthur County, graduating from Arthur County High School in 1957. He joined the Air Force, where he was stationed in France, right out of high school. He returned to Minneapolis, where he worked in Insurance. He then returned to Nebraska and lived for periods of time in Arthur, Fremont, Ashland and Wahoo and then eventually lived in Colorado, all while working as a carpenter and hard-wood floor sander. Nebraska was always home to him and he eventually found his way back to Garden County where he opened a grocery store and then a used furniture store.

He enjoyed fishing, woodworking, golfing, clowning in parades and traveling to see his kids. He loved animals of all kinds and took a personal interest in History of the American West and the Civil War.

He is preceded in death by his mother Irene Mae Guy (Graham) and his wife, Margaret (Peggy) Dilley. He is survived by 7 children: Lee Guy, Winchester VA;  Scott Guy, Maple Grove, MN; Mark Guy,  Mayer, MN; Jason Guy, Maple Grove, MN; Cole Guy, Wichita, KS; Shannon Guy, Denver, CO; Eric Guy of Lake Wilson, MN; 14 grandchildren; nephew Sam Johnstone of Brighton, CO and his beloved Basset Hound, Butterscotch.
