Robert L. “Bob” Cain, 79, passed away on Wednesday, August 15, 2012, at his residence in Greensburg. Born, October 24, 1932 in Boise, Idaho, he was the son of John Thomas and Pansy (Garrett) Cain.
Bob married Bonetta “Bonnie” Jines on March 2, 1953 and she survives.
Bob was a member of the First Christian Church in Greensburg, the Knights of Pythias, and a former member of the American Legion Post 129 in Greensburg. He was an avid bowler and for many years he bowled in the Tuesday night league in Greensburg.
Bob worked for Public Service for 15 years, Muncie Bread, and after retiring, he worked as a security guard at GECOM in Greensburg. One of the greatest joys in his life was his grandchildren and he loved all of them very much.
Bob is survived by his wife, one son; Tim Cain, Greensburg, one daughter; Debbie Hamilton, Greensburg, two sisters; Bonnie Pond and Phyllis Pond, both of Boise, Idaho, three grandchildren; Bradey Stewart, St. Paul, IN, Robbie Stewart, Greensburg, Tony Wilson, Greensburg, and three great grandchildren; Cassidy Coomer, Macie Leake, and Harper Stewart.
He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers; Jimmy, John, and Ron Cain, two sisters; Joan and Barbara, and one granddaughter; Tracey LuCille Stewart.
