Robert Klotz Totten, Jr., age 71, of Charlestown, died Saturday, September 30, 2006 at the Westerly Hospital. He was the beloved husband of Janet (Van Heertum) Totten.
Robert, affectionately known as Skip, was born on December 19, 1934 in Morristown, NJ, the son of the late Robert K. Totten, Sr. and Aileen (Amerman) Totten of Morris Plains, NJ. Skip received his batchelor’s degree from Rutgers University and an MBA form Fairleigh Dickinson University. He served in the National Guard, was a Scout leader and a deacon in the Presbyterian Church.
He retired from Fraser Papers in Stamford, CT in 1995 where he worked for 22 years. He was active in several paper industry organizations.
In addition to his loving wife of 47 years, Skip is survived by his three children, Jeffrey A. Totten of Bridgewater, NJ, Robert V. Totten of Wilton, CT and Melissa (Totten) Hayden of Fort Polk, LA, and seven grandchildren. He also leaves his brother Pieter Totten of San Diego, CA, step-brother Denis Duvoisin and step-mother Ruth (Duvoisin) Totten both of Morris Plain, NJ.
