Surviving are his wife, Janice; 5 children: Sue (Kevin Wolfe) Beene, Carol Vantyul, Robert Jr. (Tammy) Phillips, John (Lori Tillison) Phillips, and Ronda (Leslie Utter) Phillips; 25 grandchildren, Brenda Phillips, Michelle and Ariel Beene, Joshua Wolfe, Roy, Betty, Cinnamon and Bobby Muncy, Nick, Alex and Audra Vantuyl, Robert Phillips III, Brooke Wiles, Zachary and Jayden Chapman, Jamie Plunkett, Brandon Boley, Jay and Travis Tillison, Justin, Frank and Brittany Phillips, Rene Garcia Rojas, and Charles and Nicole Everett; 15 great-grandchildren; 4 step-children, Gary (Sally) Martz, Darlene Blanchard, Harold Blanchard and Gerald Blanchard; brother, Clyde Phillips; sister, Eva Phillips; and several nieces and nephews.
Preceding him in death were his first and second wives, Betty Phillips and Beverly Blett; parents; 2 step-sons, Randy Hamilton and Terry Martz; 2 brothers: George and Roy Phillips; and 2 sisters, Alice DeHaan and Mary Brown.
