Robert K. Middleton Sr., 77, of Bristol, husband of Edna (St. Onge) Middleton, died Tuesday, February 20, 2007, at Bristol Hospital. Robert was born January 28, 1930, in New Britain, a son of the late Alfred and Martha (Ackerman) Middleton.
Mr. Middleton was employed by Pratt & Whitney Aircraft of Southington until his retirement. He was a US Air Force Veteran. He was a 30 year member of the Bristol Ten Pin Restaurant Bowling League, serving as treasurer of the league for many years. He was an avid Red Sox, and UConn College Men’s and Women’s Basketball fan, but he especially enjoyed being with his family.
Besides his wife, he is survived by four sons and three daughters-in-law, Alan R. and Ava Middleton of Plainville, Robert K. Jr. and Jeanine Middleton of Windsor, Thomas R. and Janet Middleton of Bristol, and David A. Middleton of Bristol, three daughters and a son-in-law, Carol M. Cascone of Newington, Laurie A. and Emerson Recore of Brimfield, MA., and June M. Middleton of Burlington, a brother Raymond Middleton of Forestville, 13 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren, brothers and sisters-in-law, Albert St. Onge of CA., Leo and Terry St. Onge of Terryville, Connie and Don Power of Bristol, Frank and Beverly Ronzello of Bristol, and many nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by a brother, Ronald Middleton, a son in law, Steven A. Cascone, and two brothers-in-law, Robert and Lawrence St. Onge.
