Robert Joseph Snyder, Sr., 75, of Ramseur, died Wednesday, August 12, 2020 at his residence.
Robert was a native Fort Ashby, West Virginia and a member of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army where others knew him as “Pineland Bob” where he served working with the U.S. Army Special Forces for over 20 years helping train Soldiers in Unconventional warfare training known as “Robin Sage.” There he became part of their brotherhood and will remain from here on. He formerly worked with Energizer Battery and currently employed with Oak Grove Technology. He was preceded in death by his parents, John Harvey and Anna Stoker Snyder.
Survivors: daughter, Michelle Snyder Seidner, and husband, Tony, of Topsail Island, NC, sons, Matthew “Matt” Snyder, Robert Joseph Snyder, Jr., both of Franklinville, sisters, Reginia Shupe, of Old Town, MD, Mary Ellen Layton, of Wiley Ford, WV, Teresa Snyder, Lillie Macado, Lois Snyder, all of St. Petersburg, FL, Edith Hillegas, of Ohio, brothers, Ernest Snyder and wife, Joplin, of MO, Frances Eugene Snyder, of Frostburg, MD, Theodore James Snyder, of Ridgeley, WV, Charles Richard Snyder, of McCoul, MD, grandchildren, Mason Burris, Cooper Seidner.
