Robert Jay Hedin, age 78, of Miami passed away Tuesday January 18, 2022 in New Smyrna Beach, FL. Born in Valley Stream, NY to Carl Hedin and Catherine McLaughlin Hedin; Robert had retired to Central Florida in 2019.
As a Construction Company owner then Project Manager, he was proud of 50+ years of accomplishments and the many he had mentored along the way. He graduated from Miami Senior High School in 1961. Robert was a devoted husband, father and grandfather. He adored his wife, and his children and grandchildren meant the world to him.
He is survived by his beloved wife Grace who he had been happily married to since 1963, daughter, Cheryl (Brad) McCormick, of Miami; son, Wayne (Jami) Hedin, of Waxhaw, NC; daughter, Laura Hedin, of New Smyrna Beach; 9 amazing grandchildren, Victoria, Brad Jr., Lucas, Addison, Julia, Gunnar, Robert, Cross and Koa. Robert was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Carl.
