Robert Jay DeRuyscher, 71, died Sunday, December 17, 2017, at Baptist Memorial Hospital-North MS in Oxford, MS..M. at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church with Father Joe Tonos officiating…m. prior to the service at the church.. Mr. DeRuyscher was born in Kalamazoo, MI, to the late Peter and Myrtice DeRuyscher. He formerly worked as an Industrial Engineer at Kellogg and then transitioned into plant management. Following his extensive career in manufacturing, he retired as Vice-President of Sales at American Cold Storage. Mr. DeRuyscher was a member of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church. He was an avid golfer and found great enjoyment in reading political biographies. Mr. DeRuyscher served our country as a Sergeant in the United States Army Reserve. Survivors include his wife, Marcy Louise Dreiling DeRuyscher of Oxford, MS; daughters, Amy Lebedev and her husband, Gennady of Placentia, CA, Lisa Scott and her husband, Matthew of Oxford, MS and Tamara Austin and her husband, Paul of Oxford, MS; sister, Debbie Larson and her husband, Ken of Portage, MI and five grandchildren, Michael, Lillie, Samantha, Katie and Nicholas..
