Robert J. Nelson, 78, of West Haven passed away on September 22, 2011. Husband of the late Mary “Barbara” LaFrance Nelson. Born in West Haven son of the late Stephen and Willetta Agnes Quinn Nelson. Father of Deb (Cheryl Mateus) Sachse of West Haven, Marsha (Wayne) Davis and Kim (John) Wilk all of East Haven, and the late Robert Nelson Jr., grandfather of Terri Faccadio, Ronnie Denny, Laura Wilk, Daniel and Ashley Davis, and great grandfather of Haley and Salvatore. He was predeceased by his brothers Francis and Lawrence Nelson and his longtime companion Patricia Davis. He was a member of the Waucoma Yacht Club and a former member of the West Haven Elks Club.
