Robert J. Ott, Sr., 81, of Jackson, NJ, passed away Monday, January 17, 2022. Born in Newark, NJ, he lived in Mystic Island and Howell, NJ before moving to Jackson 15 years ago.
Robert worked in the Maintenance Department for the Garden State Parkway for many years. He served in the US Navy on the USS Thor as a Yoeman 3rd Class. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge #127 in Millburn, NJ.
Robert was predeceased by his wife Doris Ott in 2014 and his former wife, Joyce Ott in 2019. He was also predeceased by his sister Louise and infant daughter Beverly.
He is survived by his five children Robert J. Ott, Jr. of Saxon, WI, and his former spouse Angela Ott of Ottawa, IL, Laura Alessi and her husband Matt of Jackson, NJ, Ronald Ott and his wife Lisa of Manahawkin, NJ, Ray Ott and his wife Laura Ann of Manahawkin, NJ and Buddy Ott and his girlfriend Trish of Little Egg Harbor, NJ, two brothers William and his wife Patty and Donald Ott and his partner, Janice, all from Washington, NJ, and a sister Ruthie Znachko and her husband George of Howell, NJ.
He also leaves behind six grandchildren Robert J. Ott, III and Nathan M. Ott from IL, Ronald W. Ott and his wife Sommer from Kenilworth, NJ, Briana C. Ott from Manahawkin, NJ, Jenna K. McGahey and her husband Michael from Clementon, NJ, and Ryan C. O. Ott.
