Robert J. Muller, 91, of Ottawa, died March 2, 2015 at OSF Saint Elizabeth Medical Center.
Robert was born on September 23, 1923 in Chicago, to John and Minnie (Wagner) Muller. He married Margaret Marion Monfort on July 22, 1949 in Riverside. Robert was a veteran of the US Army and served during WWII. He received an American Campaign Medal, Asiatic Pacific Medal, One Stripe Overseas Service Bar, Good Conduct Medal, and WWII Victory Medal. Robert was a member of Epworth United Methodist Church in Ottawa and First United Methodist Church in Downers Grove.
Robert is survived by 2 daughters, Deborah (Carl) Sauer, of Westmont and Carol (Steve) Williams, of Ottawa, 2 sons Kenneth (Jan) Muller, of Joliet and Wayne (Anne) Muller, of Eules, TX, numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and a brother Ronald Eugene (Judy) Muller, of Libertyville, IL. He was preceded in death by his wife, Margaret, on February 27, 2008 and a sister Betty Jean Muller. Pallbearers will be Kenneth R. Muller, Wayne P. Muller, and Steve Williams.
