He is survived by his wife Willine McGirr. He was the son of Theresa (Harty). He was the father of Robert J., Steven A., McGirr and step-father of Isaiah M.Thompson. Robert was the beloved brother of Carol Pereira, Kathleen Ronzio, Theresa Giambusso, Mary Demnicki, Ellen McGirr, William McMahon and James McGirr. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
