Robert Judson MacMillan, 89 Born: 11/13/1927 in Camden, NJ Member of the Broad St. United Methodist Church for 75 years. Graduate of Wilbur Watts High School in 1945 and Rider College in 1952. He is a veteran of the U. S. Navy and served for 3 years as a radio operator on the USS Wyoming, USS Mississippi, USS Kiowa and USS Canisteo. Retired from the Edgewater Park Twp.
School system after 7 years as Board Secretary/Business Manager. He also served in that position for 16 years in the Burlington Twp. School system. Most of his life was spent in Burlington City. His first wife of 35 years, Thelma (Leeds) MacMillan passed away in 1984. He is survived by his present wife of 32 years, Vera Jean (McVaugh/Sampson) MacMillan.
He enjoyed driving across the USA and visiting family and the National Parks. He is also survived by his 5 children and their spouses – Ruth Ann & Rev. John George of Graniteville, SC; Donald N. & Rebecca MacMillan of Edgewater Park, NJ; Robert K. & Bonnye MacMillan of Jacksonville FL; Kenneth R. & Barbara MacMillan of Eastampton, NJ; Doris L. & James Megee of Edgewater Park, NJ. 4 Step-children and their spouses: William L. & Maria Sampson, former daughter-in-law Joanne Sampson; Edward J. & Valerie Sampson; Rebecca J. Sampson & Robert Simon; Steven D. Sampson. 12 Grandchildren and Step-grandchildren: Stephen & David George; Amanda (MacMillan) Stromoski; Rachel (MacMillan) Huryn; Megan (MacMillan) Dubnick; Lauren (MacMillan) McAndrew; Kelly MacMillan, Meredith Megee, Andrew Sampson, Kathleen Sutton; Kevin Sampson and Matthew Sampson. 11 Great-grandchildren: Kelsey, Carson & Sadler George; John Michael, David Austin, Caleb, & Ezekiel George; Cari Dubnick, Aubrey McAndrew, Natalie & Alexander Huryn.
