Robert J. (Bob) Gulya, 94, of Danbury, died on Tuesday, May 31, 2022.
Bob was born in Danbury on October 1, 1927, a son to the late Andrew W. and Elizabeth (Semek) Gulya. He was educated in the Danbury School System and graduated from Danbury High School.
Bob was a life member of the CT Education Association with his name on the Life Membership plaque at CEA Headquarters in Hartford. He was also a life member of the Association of Retired Teachers of CT.
A veteran of WWII and the Korean War, he served with the United States Marine Corps attaining the rank of Sergeant.
The family would like to express their appreciation to Suzanne, his wonderful home companion, the outstanding staff at Spring Village Assisted Living for their exceptional kindness and support, and the nursing staff on 10 East at Danbury Hospital for their excellent care and communication. and to Dana on 11 East at Danbury Hospital for her extraordinary compassionate care.
In addition to his parents, Bob was predeceased by his twin brother Donald and his brother William.
