Robert Howard Jenson, 84, passed away peacefully on Monday February 14, 2022, in Perry, Utah. Robert was born on February 15, 1937, in Brigham City, Utah, to Howard Clarence and LaVon (Hansen) Jenson. He was born and raised in Brigham City, and spent his younger years working on the family farm. Robert graduated from Box Elder High School where he was an outstanding athlete. He served a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Norway. Following his mission, he attended Utah State University and graduated from dental school at St. Louis University. Robert served as an officer in the US Airforce, where he was stationed at Castle Air Force Base in Merced, California.
On June 17, 1968, Robert married “the girl-next door,” Corene Rowe, in the Logan LDS Temple. He practiced dentistry in Brigham City for thirty-five years. Robert enjoyed spending time with his four children working on their horse property in Perry. He loved teaching his family to work hard, play tennis and ride horses.
After his retirement in 2002, Robert and Corene were called as Guest Service Missionaries at the LDS Conference Center. They served a second mission with the Church Family History Department in Salt Lake City. He also served as an ordinance worker in the Brigham City temple. Robert had a strong testimony of the gospel of Jesus Christ and quietly led by example throughout his life.
Robert is survived by His wife, Corene (Rowe), and children David Jenson (Jodi), Janet Thornton (Justin), Richard Jenson (Kim), Jon Jenson (Melody). Fourteen grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. His sisters, Linda Toolson (Brian), Sherry Thorne.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Howard and LaVon, and his sister, Diane (Palmer).
