Robert H. Kuhns, 92, Anderson, passed away October 10, 2009 at Countryside Manor, Anderson after an extended illness. He was born June 30, 1917 in Pendleton, IN., and resided in Anderson. He has lived in this area his entire life.

He served his country in the United States Navy during World War II. He retired as a forman from Guide Lamp division of General Motors in 1973 after forty years of service.

He was a member of the New Horizons Methodist Church in Anderson. A lifetime member of the American Legion in Warsaw. The Elks Lodge #302, Moose Lodge #1423 and the Moose Legion #96 all of Warsaw.

The Independent Order of Odd Fellows in Anderson and a forty year member of the Eagles in Anderson. He is survived by his children; Joan Swain Jim of Anderson, Jeanette Razneck Allen of Charlotte, N.C. , and Vaughn Ross Kuhns Pat of Greenfield. His sister in law; Helen Clary of Anderson. His grandchildren; Jim H. Swain of Anderson, Cathy Asbury of Peoria, IL., Beth Vandergrift of Anderson, Melissa Sheets of Bloomington, Cindy Roberts of California, Steve Raznick of North Carolina, Becky Palisance of North Carolina, Vaughn Ryan Kuhns of Florida, and Kelly Perry of Pittsboro. Also surviving are many great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife Catherine Clary Kuhns. His parents; Walter W. and Alice Godbey Kuhns, a sister; Pauline Lukens, and a brother; Roy H. Kuhns
