Robert J. Hill, 92, died Thursday, July 21, 2016 at his Fairmount, Indiana residence. Robert was born in Tipton County, Indiana on February 13, 1924 to thelate Alonzo Ellsworth Hill and the late Cleo Davis Hill. He was a 1943 graduate of Fairmount High School.
Robert served in the Navy during WWII in the South Pacific and was again called to serve his country during the Korean War. He married Patsy Davis on September 11, 1950 at the Elwood Methodist Church. Patsy preceded him in death in December 1, 2006. Robert retired from AEP after 34 years of service where he worked in the substation department.
Robert is survived by sons; Terry Lee (Lisa) Hill, Fairmount and Robert F. (Sharon), Wabash, IN. Daughter, Cheri Patton, Marion, five Grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by sisters, Ruby Mae Hill and Wanda J. Stater, daughter-in-law, Peggy Sue Hill, and grandson, Joshua Hill.
