Robert G. Taylor, age 95 of Midland, passed away Tuesday August 31, 2021 at the MidMichigan Medical Center, Midland. The son of the late Jesse F. and Bessie E. (Stoddard) Taylor was born in Aurora, Missouri on January 24, 1926.

Bob served in the United States Army with the 83rd infantry during World War II and was a recipient of a Purple Heart. He was employed with General Motors for many years. Bob enjoyed traveling, playing cards, darts and going to the casino. He was a member of American Legion Berryhill Post 165 and Veterans of Foreign Wars Post in Hemlock.

Surviving is his wife of 33 years the former Gladys M. Knack (Grigar) of whom he married on July 9, 1988; daughter, Virginia (Gene) Oryszczak of MaryAnn, Florida; step children, Thomas Grigar of Sanford, Terry (Robert) Moor of Sanford, Tena (Jerry) Wagner of Midland; grandchildren, Bobbi (Jeff) Collier, Randy (Hope) Oryszczak, Karrie Wagner, Shelly (Jeff) Hollinshead, Stacey (Jon) Chapin, Jeremy (Kayla) Wagner, Stacy (Russ) Goodrich, Thomas J. Grigar; 17 great grandchildren; brother, Ted Taylor of New Hampshire; sister, Norma Pippin of Burton; many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Bob was preceded in death by brother, Glen Taylor; sisters, Dorothy Marston, Ethelene Taylor.
