Robert Edward Fritz, 74 of Horntown, VA, formerly of Rising Sun, MD, passed away Wednesday, February 22, 2017, at home surrounded by his loving family.
Born in Welch, WV, on August 6, 1942, he was the son of the late Charles and Francis (Shoemaker) Fritz.
Mr. Fritz retired from the MD State Highway Dept. after 28 years of service.
He enjoyed fishing, crabbing, boating, camping and just being outdoors. An avid reader of the Bible, he loved going to hymn sings. The thing he enjoyed most was his grandchildren.
Survivors include his wife of 53 years: Betty (Dean) Fritz; three daughters: Charlene Clark, Bobbie S. Summers both of Rising Sun, MD and Angelia Adkins of Horntown, VA; and four grandchildren: Andrew and Nathan Clark, Matthew and Megan Summers.
