Robert F. Bob Dudley, 78, of Anderson, passed away January 15, 2014 at Methodist Hospital Indianapolis, IN after a 3 year journey fighting esophageal cancer. He was born on April 13, 1935 in Muncie, IN, and resided most of his life in Anderson.
Bob graduated from Muncie Central High School in 1953. He was an everlasting devoted Bearcat.
Bob was a gifted carpenter, homebuilder, master digger, “Mister Fixit” and Machine Operator for Delco Remy. He had a passion for golfing and anything outside, which he passed onto his daughter. He was also a supreme peanut butter fudge maker.
Bob retired in 1997 and completed his dream of traveling to all 50 states with his wife. He had a love for puzzles, the Chicago Cubs, and IU basketball, family, friends, and his church family. His life was guided by his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, and was a active member of the Bethel Baptist Church in Lapel.
Robert is survived by his loving spouse, and best friend, Jacque Dudley of Anderson, IN, daughter, Kim E. Bob Cain, of Muncie, his grandson Lucas M Yedid Dudley of Bradford, TX, a sister Mary Dominick, of Muncie, brother, Herbert Dudley of Muncie, and several cousins and nieces and nephews, and special friends Kathy Knight and Sharon Beckley. He was preceded in death by his parents Robert and Ethel Dudley, son David M Dudley, and a sister Jean Smith.
