Robert F. Andrewsen, 64, of 831 Washington Blvd., Williamsport, died Wednesday, April 6, 2011, at The Gatehouse Hospice following a courageous nine month battle with cancer.
Bob and his wife, the former Sherry G. Gibson, would have celebrated their 32nd anniversary on June 30th.
Bob had worked at Spitler RV for 18 years and retired from Murray Motors. He was an Army veteran of the Vietnam War, a 1964 graduate of Stillwater High School, Stillwater, Minn. and a 1968 graduate of Winona State University, Winona, Minn.
Bob enjoyed camping, NASCAR, Penn State and his three dogs.
Born June 13, 1946 in Stillwater, Minn., he was the son of Marius (Morrie) and Edna Marie Jagg Andrewsen.
Surviving besides his wife, are his mother of Stillwater, Minn.; a brother, Richard (Judy) of Brainerd, Minn.; a sister, Mary (Wisam) Shanaa of Milwaukee, Wis.; his mother-in-law, Louise L. Gibson of Williamsport; nephews, Brent, Scott, Michael, Ali, Omar and Assam; nieces, Kim and Leah; and 16 great nieces and nephews.
Bob was predeceased by his father-in-law, John T. Gibson and a niece, Becky Andrewsen.
The family would like to thank Bob’s friends for their support and care, the friends who took him for treatments, the cancer center, Dr. Edward Wyshock, the Williamsport Hospital fifth floor staff and Dr. Alexander Nesbitt and the Gatehouse staff.
