Indianapolis-Robert Eugene “Bob” Butler, 59, passed away early Thursday afternoon, November 25, 2010, at the Veterans Administration Medical Center following an extended illness. He was born October 29, 1951 in Vincennes, the son of Cleatis Eugene and Ella (Woods) Butler.
Mr. Butler enlisted in the U.S. Air Force during the Vietnam War Era. He was Sergeant serving as an aircraft mechanic having been stationed in Hawaii and Thailand.
Survivors include his mother, Ella Butler, Muncie; one son, Robert Todd Butler, Muncie; one grandson, Jaden Robert Butler, Hartford City; two sisters, Donna Smith (husband-Richard), Muncie and Linda Gardner (husband-Fred), Muncie; two nieces, Eldrenda Bentley and Kimberly Swartz both of Muncie; two nephews, Shane Smith and Tony Swartz both of Muncie; a special thank you is extended to Tony for all his care and concern; Bob’s wonderful dog, Tiva.
He was preceded in death by his father, Cleatis Butler in 1979.
