Robert Edwin Baker,58, of 111 Cedar Run died Monday, May 2, 2016, at the Hospice Home of Rockingham Co.
A native of Hattiesburg, Miss. He was a son of Edwin Herbert Baker and the late Helen Harris Baker and he had lived in Reidsville for the past 1 ½ years, moving here from Wilmington. Bob was General Manager of The Chop House in Greensboro and in Wilmington and was currently managing the Whistle Jacket Grill in Eden. He was a US Army Veteran and an avid sports fan. He loved his Panthers, St. Louis Cardinals, and the N. C. State Wolfpack. Bob was a member of Kappa Sigma Fraternity while he attended N. C. State University.
Surviving is his wife: Janet Croxton Baker of Winston-Salem, his son: Alex Baker (USN) stationed in Japan, his daughter: Clarke Baker of Wilmington, his father: Edwin H. Baker of Reidsville, his brother: Jim Baker and wife: Donna of Newton, and his sister: Beth Simmons and husband: Tom of Reidsville.
