Robert Earl Hunt, 45, of Elkhart, died Sunday, November 18, 2012 in Elkhart General Hospital. He was born September 13, 1967 in Niles, Michigan to Joseph and Pearl (Ballard) Hunt. His parents survive. He was preceded in death by his grandparents and one brother, Joseph Hunt, Jr. Robert loved to cook. He was excited about having just been accepted in Ivy Tech’s Culinary Program. “Uncle Bob” was a great uncle, cousin and friend who will be remembered by his nieces and nephews for his Mac and Cheese.
He would set up cooking dates for his nephews and nieces. He loved to experiment in the kitchen. He was employed at Gunite Corporation for several years. He loved to shop and his family would often run into him at WalMart. He and his mom would take off and go shopping every week. Robert loved to travel and go on vacation. He took his mom and dad to Las Vegas. In May he returned from Atlanta where he attended his nephew’s graduation. Robert’s family remembers him as a funny guy who loved making them laugh. Family and friends will greatly miss Robert.
He is survived by his parents, Joseph and Pearl (Ballard) Hunt of Cassopolis; one sister, Paula Hunt of Mableton, Georgia; one brother and sister in law, John and Natasha Hunt of Elkhart, Indiana; five nephews, Micheal Hunt, LaVante’ Hunt, Tyrese Hunt, Nicholas Beathea, Nathan Beathea-Martinez; two nieces, Alexis Hunt, Jaslin Martinez; and a host of uncles and aunts, nieces and nephews, cousins and friends.
