Robert “Bob” Earl Adam Sr.
1928 – 2016

Robert Earl Adam was born April 8, 1928 and passed away peacefully at home after a long and courageous battle with cancer on April 16, 2016. He was 88 years old. He was born to Fred H. Adam and Bessie Scott Adam. He married his sweetheart, Marlene Morrison on June 6, 1950. Later, their marriage was solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple.

He attended Ogden City Schools, graduating from Ogden High School. Bob served in the Army in WWII and served in the Air Force in the Korean War as a radio operator on the B29. He earned many awards, medals and certificates.

Bob was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints where he served in many callings including Gospel Doctrine Teacher and as a Bishop. He really enjoyed the scouting program where he helped many young men receive their Eagle Badge.

Bob worked at Hill Air Force Base, retiring in 1983. He loved to learn and was always keeping up with modern technology. He enjoyed spending time with his family at picnics, birthday parties and Christmas parties.

Bob is survived by his spouse of 66 years, his children, Susan (Dave) Trussell, Robert E (Cathy) Adam Jr., Terry (Richard) Olsen, Debie (Kim) Ipsen and Rich (JaNae) Adam; 11 grandchildren; 33 great grandchildren; 1 great-great grandchild, with one great-great grandchild on the way.

He is preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Derrell Adam and two sisters, Mary McCarthy and Donna Adam.
