Robert E. Schwantes Sr., age 88, of South Holland, IL, passed away on Monday, May 3, 2021.
Beloved husband of Jo-Anne Schwantes, nee Gabel. Loving father of Robert E. (late Maxine) Schwantes Jr., Barbara (John) Peterson, Richard (Sandra) Schwantes, and Jean (Michael) Wilbur. Cherished grandfather of Erin Ferrara, Amy (Jim) Arndt, Danielle (Ryne) Kush, and Ben. Great-grandfather of Logan, Madison, and Gianna. Dear brother of Grace (late Gene) Valloni. Preceded in death by his parents Emil and Alice Schwantes.
Robert was a proud United States Air Force veteran. He was also a longtime leader of the Boy Scouts #490. Robert was loved by many and will be deeply missed.
